Default Expanding your services.

Has anyone added fencing and/or decks to their service list? I'm seeing a few Landscape Co. here testing the water on expanding into fences & decks as well as Powerwashing.

We do fencing when its too cold to landscape, but hasn't snowed yet. Its something to keep the guys busy in the winter when there is no snow on the ground. There is a Landscape Co. in my area though that Claims 3 different "Divisons" of their company. Lawn & Landscape Division, Fencing Division, Excavating Division...Sounds like a massive company or something corparate, but they only employ about 10 guys.

what everyone seems to do is claim they specialize in something but no one wants to turn down money so they do many things.

i see landscapers do roofing.
i have helped a mason do dirtwork
the guy building the deck is a plumber

the lines seperating them get less and less clear every year.

One of my Costumers does Landscaping and Auto Detailing.

The thing is that you have these clients that need all these sevices, so why not?
If you need the money you can handle it. Go for It!

Thanx!
