Whats the Best Order?
I got a pretty good job ahead of me..basically my biggest install to date, and I'm wondering what order my companions would accomplish this in.
For some reason I'm stuck with this order.
Keep in mind this is a rural house on a good amount of land, and access all around the property.
1. fence Post
2. 20yards soil prep
3. irrigation
4. bed edging
5. fabric / shrubs / trees
6. rock / mulch
7. sod
8. fence (note that fence is being built next to and along the rock and mulch beds, so building the fence without trampling the newly laid sod would not be an issue.
9. flagstone.
And yes, I have to hire on additional help for this one.

Makes sense to me to do it in that order. The only question or concern I would have is with the trees and irrigation. Are you installing B&B trees where your going to be using an auger and the irrigation could be an issue.

There are only going to be 4 trees installed. Probably end up just digging the holes with a shovel...
now the fence post will be dug with an auger...no change of hitting irrigation lines.

Well I figured the edging needs to go in first to hold the rocks / mulch in place. Also I can cut the sod right up to it this way. The bed edging is a curvy design that completely encloses the sod.
